The long-awaited new underground line Metro 4 was inaugurated in the Hungarian capital on March 28. It runs in a 7.3-kilometer tunnel from Keleti Railway Station on the Pest side – under the river Danube – to Kelenföld Railway Station in southwest Buda.

Diplomacy & Trade has learned with great sorrow that the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Hungary, Dr. Ashraf Mohsen Mohamed Mohsen has passed away at the age of 50. He served his country in Budapest since March 2012.

NATO radar inaugurated in Hungary

A NATO radar station has been inaugurated in Medina, southern Hungary, completing the control of Hungarian airspace with the two similar 3D radar towers in the country. The total cost of the project is HUF 1.05 billion (EUR 3.4 million).
