Hungary’s Magyar Telekom, controlled by Deutsche Telekom, has announced on Wednesday that it has embarked on a large scale modernisation of its mobile network with its long-standing partner, Ericsson.
The government plans to help make broadband internet available in the whole of Hungary as part of competitiveness-boosting and IT development measures, the state secretary for infocommunications announced on Monday.
The European Commission’s recently adopted initiative on building out and spreading fast and very fast broadband internet access has been welcomed by the Hungarian government.
