A three-dimensional NATO radar deployed in Medina, south-central Hungary, begins operation this Wednesday, and as a result, Hungarian airspace control is complete, Defence Minister Csaba Hende announced on Tuesday at the Medina radar station.

Soldiers of the Hungarian Defense Forces have ended their Middle East peacekeeping operations on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt where they formed part of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in the past twenty years.

Lieutenant-General Frederick Ben Hodges, Commanding General, NATO Allied Land Command has paid a visit to Hungary where he met with several commanders of the Hungarian defence forces, discussing Hungarian contributions to NATO operations.
