The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong is on an official visit to Hungary at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The two leaders met Monday afternoon in the building of Hungarian Parliament.

Prince Andrew, the second of Queen Elizabeth II, is on a three-day official trip to Hungary. The Duke of York was welcomed by Ambassador Lindsay and later this afternoon met with János Áder, President of Hungary at Sándor Palace.

The British Minister of State for Europe and the Americas, Sir Alan Duncan is in Budapest this Tuesday. He has officially opened the new building of the Embassy of the United Kingdom and also held a lecture and a Q&A forum at the Corvinus University.

Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao arrived in Hungary on Friday for a two-day official visit, the first to Hungary by a Chinese premier in 24 years. It is the first leg of Wen's three-nation Europe tour that also includes Britain and Germany.

The Dalai Lama lectured on Buddhism, led a public training session on the art of happiness and visited the Parliament during his recent trip to Hungary on September 17-20.
