Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stressed the importance of forging ties between foreign and Hungarian businesses at the annual conference for the country’s top diplomats in the Hungarian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The Diplomacy & Trade Club ('The Club') presented its recent country focus supplement on Norway at the residence of the Norwegian Ambassador to Hungary, Tove Skarstein Wednesday evening with with diplomats, businesspeople attending.

The 25th anniversary of the dismantling of the Iron Curtain was celebrated near Sopron, NW Hungary, where the barbed wire was cut in 1989 to begin the demolition of the closed border. This symbolic gesture is remembered today by a memorial stone.

Russia will lend up to EUR 10 billion to Hungary to help build two new units at the Paks nuclear power plant. This was announced after President Vladimir Putin agreed on a co-operation deal with visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
