New trade house to open

As a demonstration of further expansion into the American market, Hungary opened a trade house in New York in the early days of May. It will serve as a new gateway for Hungarian companies in the United States. Officials consider more offices to set up elsewhere in the country.

Hungarian hot sauce wins award

The Hungarian chili sauce 'Spirit of Attila' won the Hot Sauce Hot category at the 2015 World Hot Sauce Awards held in New Iberia, Louisiana in the United States. The competition attracted 284 entries from 109 producers from 14 countries in 49 categories.

Hungary's state debt at record high

Hungary's public debt has never been over HUF 25,000 billion - until now. According to the Hungarian Debt Management Center, a recent increase of 1,377 bn brought it over the 25,000 bn level. Government officials cliam the increase is only temporary.

NATO radar starts operation in Hungary

A three-dimensional NATO radar deployed in Medina, south-central Hungary, begins operation this Wednesday, and as a result, Hungarian airspace control is complete, Defence Minister Csaba Hende announced on Tuesday at the Medina radar station.

Hungarian girls triumph in Wimbledon
