Academy Award winner Hungarian cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond passed away on the first day of 2016 in the United States at the age of 85, the American entertainment weekly reported this Sunday. He had 100 movies to his credit as a cameraman since 1953.

Hungarian jazz musician Sándor Benkó, the founder and leader of the Benkó Dixieland Band passed away at the age of 75 in Budapest. An electric engineer by profession, 'Mr. Dixie Teacher', also taught at the Budapest Technical University for decades.
