Turkish national day

A large number of guests gathered in the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest Thursday evening at the invitation of the Turkish Ambassador to Hungary, Kemal Gür to celebrate the Turkey's national day.
The celebration was held to coincide with the opening of an exhibition about Hungarianss in Turkey. In his speech, the Hungarian Minister of National Resources Miklós Réthelyi talked about the hundreds of years of frienship connecting the two peoples.

The population census in Hungary is going to be held between October 1st and 31st 2011. Population censuses in today’s sense of the word have been held in Hungary since 1869, the one to be held this year will be the 15th of them.

International Half Marathon race in Budapest

Hungarian athletes Anikó Kálovics and Tamás Kovács won the women’s and the men’s race, respectively, at the 26th Nike Budapest International Half Marathon race in the Hungarian capital this Sunday. The field included almost 1,500 foreign runners.
