E.ON connects own solar parks to national grid

Utility services provider E.ON Hungária Co. Ltd. has announced that it has connected to the grid its own solar plants in Hungary: the seven 500-kW units built in Szigetvár and the 500 kW solar park constructed in Mohács, both in the southern part of the country.

8-km motorway inaugurated in Hungary

A new, 8.1-kilometer-long, stretch of the M4 motorway - between the town of Cegléd and the village of Ceglédbercel, both southeast of Budapest - was inaugurated this Thursday. Once complete, M4 will alleviate the now heavy traffic on main road No. 4.

In June 2018, the volume of industrial output grew by 4.2% year-on-year, the Hungarian Central statistical Office (KSH) reports. Based on working-day adjusted data, the production rose by 3.1%. On the previous month, industrial output was down by 1.2%.

In the first half of 2018, 6,517 new dwellings were built in Hungary, 30% more than a year earlier. Based on issued dwelling construction permits and simple declarations, the number of homes to be built fell by 8.9% to 18,066 compared to the first half of 2017.
