The 26th edition of one of Europe's biggest cultural – mainly music – festivals, the Sziget Festival (also called the ‘Island of Freedom’) on Óbuda Island (hence the name) on the River Danube in the Hungarian capital ended this Tuesday, having had a total number of 565.000 visitors - a new record! - from all over the world attending the seven-day event.
The previous turnout record - 496,000 visitors - for the festival was registered back in 2016.
