COVID-19: Two More Deaths in Hungary

Two chronically ill elderly patients died in Hungary, bringing the official number of pandemic-related deaths to 613.

The number of confirmed people infected with the new coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 5,155. Those in compulsory home quarantine number 7,420 while 3,695 have officially recovered.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 847. According to the related government website, 36% of those infected, 60% of the deceased and 43% of those recovered live(d) in Budapest. There are currently 59 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, seven of whom are on ventilators.

The site stresses that it is still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport within the country.

Persons ordered to enter compulsory home quarantine are required to stay at home for 14 days and inform their general practitioners in the event that they develop symptoms.
