Another twenty patients died of the pandemic in the past 24 hours, which is a negative record, with the highest number of deaths in a single day so far being 17 (on April 18 and October 2).
According to figures disclosed by the government, these fatalities bring the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to Deceased: 853, while the number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 32,298. There are 20,088 in compulsory home quarantine with 8,723 people recovered.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 22,722. The government website notes that results show that 35% of those infected, 50% of the deceased and 34% of those recovered live in the capital city, Budapest. There are currently 627 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 37 of whom are on ventilators.
