COVID-19: Over 5,000 Infections in One Day in Hungary

By Friday, the new coronavirus infection had been detected in another 5,097 Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 131,887.

99, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 2,883, and 29,802 have already recovered. The number of active infected people is 99,202. The related government website finds it important to point out that 24% of the active infected, 26% of the dead and 27% of the recovered are from Budapest. 6,690 coronavirus patients are cared for in hospital, 518 of them are on ventilators.
