Adrienne Kertész, the chief physician of the infection control department of the South Pest Central Hospital, was the first to receive the coronavirus vaccination in Hungary.

She was vaccinated on Saturday by chief infectologist János Szlávik. She said she had been waiting a long time to receive the vaccine, because that could decide whether she could continue to work safely and calmly.

István Vályi-Nagy, the director general of the South Pest Central Hospital, said that those working in the intensive care units of the South Pest Central Hospital and the surrounding hospitals will be vaccinated first, to be followed by those working in the emergency departments, after which the vaccination will continue with the general departments.
