By Thursday, the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) had been detected in another 2,971 Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 322,514.
The majority of the 108 fatalities were elderly and chronic patients, bringing the official number of deaths to 9,537. The number of recovered people is also constantly increasing, standing currently at 150,102, while the number of active infected people registered has decreased to 162,875 people. 5,856 coronavirus patients are in hospital, 402 of whom are on ventilators.
