With the completion of the one-month maintenance break, the Mercedes plant in Kecskemét will restart this Sunday, but production will stop again on Wednesday due to the non-availability of a part manufactured in Japan.
On December 18, production stopped at the Mercedes factory in Kecskemét, where in addition to the usual maintenance work, reconstructions were also carried out, so the production break was planned until January 17. Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. confirmed to the local county news portal that another shutdown will occur on the 20th.
There are difficulties in shipping the missing part worldwide, but working closely with their suppliers, the management is constantly monitoring and analyzing the situation, they wrote to the portal. Due to these supply difficulties, production is expected to be suspended for about one and a half weeks until January 30th.
