222,000 Hungarians Vaccinated Against the Coronavirus

1,307 new infections and 61 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours in the country and 222,005 Hungarians have so far been vaccinated against the new coronavirus.

The number of identified infections increased to 367,586, while the official number of deaths is now 12,524.

The number of people recovered is currently 262,968, and that of active infections is 92,094. There are 3,562 coronavirus patients hospitalized, 258 of whom are on ventilators. Of the 222,005, 56,825 have already received the second dose.

In the first week of February, the eldest people in the country are next for vaccination. This Sunday, 18,000 doses of Moderna vaccine are expected to arrive, and next week the 1,800 largest GP practices will receive 1-1 ampoules, which will allow 10-10 registered elderly people to be vaccinated per GP.
