COVID-19: Number of Daily Deaths Over 300 in Hungary

The number of fatalities of the coronavirus epidemic in Hungary has increased by 302 in the pevious day, according to official data.

By far the most tragic figure released on Wednesday, the number of coronavirus patients who died in one day has never risen above 300 in Hungary. The highest number of deaths to date, 275, was reported on March 26th.

To date, the deaths of 20,737 people have been linked to a disease caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in this country.

Compared to the previous day, the number of newly registered infections also increased significantly: this time, the pathogen was detected in 6,700 people. Since the outbreak, a total of 652,433 people have been confirmed to have contracted the infection.

406,935 people have been declared as recovered so far, 3,971 on the previous day.

The number of known active infections continued to rise from the previous day’s peak, by 2,427 to 224,761.

There are 12,346 coronavirus patients cred for in hospital, down by 207. 1m492 people need mechanical ventilation, 37 less than the day before.
