COVID-19: Over 9,000 New Infections in Hungary

The number of new infections is 9,055 in Hungary, bringing the total number of identified infections to 670,776 since the outbreak began. The number of active infections rose further to 236,144, a new high.

Another 267 patients died, bringing the official number of new coronavirus related deaths to 21,262. The number of recovered is 413,370.

There are 11,747 coronavirus patients hospitalized, a three hundred reduction from the previous day. 1,467 of them are on ventilators, which is also a slight decrease. It was last week that this many people were on ventilators.

Officially, the number of people vaccinated by Friday was 2,156,680, of whom 863,195 had already received the second vaccination.
