Hungarian Named as Europe's Top Junior Judoka

The European Judo Association (EJU) has named Hungary's Richárd Sipőcz as the best junior competitor last year.

The Hungarian state news agency MTI reports that according to judoinfo.hu magazine, the judoka of Széchenyi University SE and his coach, Nikolett Gyimes have been invited to the EJU awards ceremony, which will take place next Friday during the European Championships in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

The 20-year-old athlete also won the Junior and U23 European Championships in Porec, Slovenia within five days in November 2020, so, altogether, he can already claim to be five times continental champion in his age group.
