In week 43, the SARS-CoV-2 concentration in wastewater is still clearly increasing, but at a slower rate than in recent weeks, the National Center for Public Health reports.
An upward trend was observed in samples from Békéscsaba, Debrecen, Eger, Miskolc, Szekszárd and Szombathely. Only Nyíregyháza, in the northeast of the country, showed a decrease in its wastewater samples, while the wastewater of the other cities stagnated.
A growing proportion of the Hungarian agglomerations surveyed show elevated virus concentrations, with most agglomerations showing moderate concentrations and Nyíregyháza showing low concentrations.
