December 7, 2021

The advanced vocational training in Drone Control and Drone Data Analysis will take place in the drone laboratory of the Digital Development Center, a joint venture of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology and Széchenyi István University in Győr, NW Hungary.

The uniqueness of the course lies in the fact that students will learn not only how to operate a drone safely, but also how to analyze and evaluate the data acquired by the drone.

The analysis of drone imagery can be used in software to create accurate yield maps in agriculture, to determine the infestation of cultivated areas, to identify the location, origin and extent of infestation in water management, to create three-dimensional real estate models and heat maps in construction as well as to assess the condition of infrastructure in telecommunications and energy.

The first training course started in February this year, oversubscribed compared to the planned number of participants, and will end soon. Applications are now open for the next course.

The Széchenyi István University is committed to finding solutions to industrial problems in cooperation with industry partners and government. They aim to bring the results of their research to the market, turning knowledge into usable value. The Digital Development Center is planning to launch an agro-digitalization engineer course in the future, linked to the drone lab.
