Weekly COVID-19 Data: 1,636 New Infections, 23 Deaths

The National Center for Public Health has released aggregated data for the past week. They show that 1,636 new infections were confirmed last week, roughly the same as in the previous week, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the outbreak in Hungary to 1,923,122. 23 deaths, mostly of elderly chronic patients, brought the total number of deaths to 46,594 in this country.

The number of cured patients is 1,862,334, while the number of active infections has fallen by more than a third in a week to 14,194. 232 patients with coronavirus are currently hospitalized, seven of whom are on ventilators.

The total number of vaccinated people is 6,410,946, of whom 6,197,968 have received the second, 3,881,399 the third and 302,559 the fourth vaccination.
