Since the Curia (Supreme Court) has recently endorsed the Hungarian government’s referendum initiative on the EU resettlement quotas, governing MPs (and those of a right-wing party) have decided to hold a referendum on the issue.
"Do you want the European Union to be able to require the mandatory settlement of non-Hungarian citizens in Hungary without the consent of the National Assembly?" That is the questions for the government's referendum.
There is a 15-day window to contest the decision at the Constitutional Court, which will have 30 days to look into the complaint.
