14,402 new cases of coronavirus have been found in Hungary in the past week and 54 patients have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 46,790, the related government website coronavirus.gov.hu said in its weekly summary this Wednesday.
The number of active infected people is 28,510, with 1,345 coronavirus patients currently in hospital (up from 866 – that is, some 55% – last week), 19 of whom are on ventilators. There are 1,757 people in official house quarantine.
The total number of vaccinated people is 6,413,420, of whom 6,200,225 have received the second, 3,888,311 the third and 315,917 the fourth vaccination against coronavirus, according to the website.
The number of infected and sick people has risen slightly in recent weeks, and the information page has again raised awareness of the importance of vaccination. Vaccination can still be requested from GPs, GP pediatricians and can be picked up at hospital vaccination clinics.
