Starting this Monday, Richárd Végh, former president and CEO of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE), takes up the position of CEO at the financial services company KAVOSZ Plc., the organization announced to MTI on Monday.
According to the announcement, Richárd Végh's tasks will include further digitizing the company's operations, expanding financial service provider partnerships, and increasing awareness and accessibility of the program.
With this appointment, the company aims to further develop the Széchenyi Card Program, expand financing opportunities for domestic businesses, and strengthen digitization with a new approach, they noted.
Richárd Végh began his career more than 20 years ago at the Budapest Stock Exchange as an economic analyst, then worked as its director, and subsequently headed the Capital Market and Market Supervision Directorate of the Hungarian National Bank. In 2016, he returned to the Budapest Stock Exchange, where he worked as CEO until 2025 (as Chairman and CEO between 2017 and 2019), and since May this year, he has been a senior advisor to the National Bank of Hungary. He is also the chairman of the Sustainability Section of the Hungarian Economic Association.
In close cooperation with KAVOSZ's owners, the the Hungarian chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) and the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ), as well as its financial partners, he is working on new development plans and modern product ideas to help Hungarian businesses grow, become more competitive, and operate sustainably, according to the announcement.
