Drone Manufacturing Center to Be Set Up in Hungary

ABZ Innovation is investing HUF 2.7 billion in Szentendre, north of Budapest, to create a manufacturing center for drones used for civilian purposes.

Máté Keczer, the executive director of ABZ Drone, which is the distributor for drones manufactured by ABZ innovation, said they mainly deal with agricultural and industrial drones.

The executive director added that their Hungarian-developed and -manufactured drone systems are already present in more than 40 countries.

ABZ earlier said the investment is being funded by an international consortium led by Vsquared Ventures, with the participation of Hungarian and American partners. ABZ Innovation received EUR 7m to expand its manufacturing capacity and strengthen its position in the European market.

ABZ Innovation had HUF 779 million revenue and a HUF 1.9 billion after-tax loss in 2025, public records show.
