Kaboom Technologies, headquartered in Budapest, has begun operations and will bring together the solutions of more than 30 international defense technology companies, the company announced.

According to their plans, they will combine American, European, and Israeli technological expertise with Hungarian engineering, manufacturing, and business capabilities, and will enter the Hungarian and European markets through joint development and manufacturing partnerships.

According to their press release, they offer comprehensive solutions for government and security organizations in the areas of defense, border control, law enforcement, critical infrastructure protection, and cybersecurity. They focus on technologies that address specific security challenges: from autonomous and unmanned systems to drone countermeasures, cybersecurity, and surveillance technology, all the way to perimeter and critical infrastructure protection. A key element of the company’s model is to establish development, manufacturing, and business partnerships in Hungary for American, European, and Israeli technology companies.

In response to a question from MTI, they stated that Kaboom Technologies is a newly established Hungarian company, and that operations and the launch of joint projects with international partners are in the initial phase. The goal is to achieve HUF 70 billion in revenue within five years in a global environment where, according to forecasts, defense spending is expected to rise from the current USD 2.9 trillion to USD 3.4 trillion by 2030.

The company represents a portfolio of U.S., European, and Israeli companies specializing in cybersecurity, defense, drone technology, drone countermeasures, and security technology. This includes, among others, the Ondas Group and its more than 30 companies – including Airobotics, Sentrics, and Omnisys – as well as XTEND, Commit, RT, Capture, IDS, Masada, and Topcar.

The strategy is not limited to representation and sales. According to their plans for the coming year, they intend to collaborate with several of the companies they represent to establish manufacturing, production, integration, and related activities in Hungary. Based on their discussions, they indicated that the implementation and launch of these activities could create approximately 800 jobs in Hungary.
