Toyota Still Leader in the Hungarian New Car Market

Toyota sold approximately 14,000 cars in the Hungarian new car market by the end of October this year, and its sales could reach 17,000 by the end of the year, which means it is expected to maintain its leading position among brands. Next year, it will support the spread of new energy vehicles on European roads with a range of electric and hybrid models.

According to a statement by the importer, Toyota Central Europe, the world's leading car brand sold 13,933 new cars in the Hungarian new passenger car and light commercial vehicle category between January and October, giving the Japanese car brand, which sells around 75% partially or fully electrified cars in Hungary, a market share of 11.1%.

By the end of October this year, 125,819 new cars had been sold in the total Hungarian passenger car and light commercial vehicle market.

According to the importer, the brand achieved a market share of 10.9% in the passenger car segment with sales of 11,590 new cars, while it currently ranks second among light commercial vehicles with sales of 2,333 new cars and a market share of 12.2%.

In the fleet market, Toyota ranks second with 9,250 units, a 0.49% decrease compared to the previous year, with a market share of 10.2%.
