The Board of Directors of the Hungarian pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter Plc. has informed the company’s shareholders in an extraordinary announcement that Erik Bogsch resigned from his position as Chairman of the Board with effect from March 1, 2024, while remaining a member of the Board. The Board of Directors accepted the resignation at its regular meeting held on February 26, 2024.
In acknowledgement of his commitment and paramount contribution to the company, the Board of Directors has decided to grant Mr Erik Bogsch the title of ‘Lifetime Honorary Chairman of Gedeon Richter Plc.’.
The company has also decided to set up a new foundation in 2024 named ‘Bogsch Erik Foundation for Original Research’ and to establish a prize with an identical name.
The Board of Directors on its meeting held on February 26, 2024 elected Prof Dr E. Szilveszter Vizi as Chairman of the Board of Directors and also elected Dr Ilona Hardy Pintér as deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors with effect from March 1, 2024 for a period until the date of the AGM in 2027, the statement concludes.
