COVID-19: Less Fatalities and Less Infected in Hungary

Both the number of Hungarians infected with the new coronavirus and that of those dying as a result of this infection decreased in the past seven days, according to a weekly summary published by the related government website koronavirus.gov.hu.

In the past week, 46 people died (two fewer than in the previous week), mostly elderly and chronically ill, bringing the death toll to 47,503.

Number of new infections in the previous week: 11,392 (compared to the previous week: -915)

Number of people requiring hospitalization: 1,166 (compared to the previous week: +243)

Number of people requiring ventilators: 18 (+4 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with first dose: 6,418,057 (+319 compared to the previous week)

Number of people also vaccinated with the second dose: 6,204,361 (+389 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with the third dose: 3,897,091 (+590 compared to the previous week)

Number vaccinated with the fourth dose: 344,798 (compared to the previous week: +4,147)
