Hungarians held in quarantine at the South Pest Central Hospital for two weeks were not showing any symptoms, and the infection with the Covid-19 coronavirus has not been confirmed, so they were able to go home.

The announcement was made by the Hungarian State Secretary for Health, Ildikó Horváth in a television interview this Monday.

She also mentioned that recently, the European Union health ministers had agreed to coordinate their actions against the coronavirus. EU countries are exchanging information immediately, she said, stressing that this was necessary as some coronavirus cases had already occurred in Europe. People travel, so it is imperative to know where the infected people are and to isolate them properly. Hungary has put in place control mechanisms that can prevent the entry of infected people into the country, she said.
