A Day without COVID-19 Related Death in Hungary

The number of deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic has not increased in the last 24 hours in Hungary. It remains at 568.

The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in only two more people in the country, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 4,081.

The number of people who recovered from the disease is 2,581 and that of active infections is 932. 39% of the active infected, 60% of the dead and 48% of the recovered are from Budapest. There are 192 patients hospitalized with coronavirus, 15 of whom are on ventilators.

Wearing the mask is still mandatory in shops and on public transport. The mask can also be replaced by a scarf or shawl covering the mouth and nose. A separate morning time frame for those over 65 has been eliminated. Grocery stores, pharmacies, drugstores can receive customers in the usual way. Shops, restaurants, accommodation, cinemas, theaters, swimming pools, spas, etc. can be open without restriction.

Hungarian citizens returning to Hungary from any country can now enter without the need for official home quarantine.
