Three More New Coronavirus Related Deaths in Hungary

Three patients died and the number of confirmed new coronavirus infections in Hungary increased by four in the past 24 hours in Hungary.

With three deaths, the official number of pandemic related fatalities increased to 582 according to the government website dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, and with four new cases, the number of identified coronavirus infections in Hungary increased to 4,142.

The number of active infected people is 876. 38% of the active infected, 60% of the dead and 48% of the recovered are from Budapest. There are 172 patients hospitalized with the new coronavirus, nine of whom are on ventilators. According to the site, 2,551 people are in official home quarantine. The number of tests carried out so far is 271,194.

The emergency situation has ended in Hungary and epidemiological preparedness has come into effect. However, the epidemic threat has not disappeared, so maintaining epidemiological preparedness and some basic protection measures are still needed. Wearing a mask, scarf or shawl is still mandatory in shops and on public transport, but a separate morning shopping period for those over 65 has been abolished.
