Number of Pandemic Death Surpasses 600 in Hungary

Two elderly chronically ill people died in Hungary, bringing the number of deaths new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in this country to 602.

The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 24 more Hungarian citizens, which increased the number of infected people in Hungary to 4,621 with 3,464 already recovered. The number of active infections is 555. 34% of the active infected, 60% of the dead and 44% of the recovered are from Budapest. There are 72 coronavirus patients in hospital, six of whom are on a ventilator.

The general rules remain the same in the country: face mask must still be worn in shops and on public transport, and musical and dance events for more than 500 people can still not be held. In the case of newly infected people, the epidemiological authority will interview and contact them in accordance with the current procedure.
