The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 4,877. The official pandemic-related death toll is 607.
Further data by the Hungarian authorities suggest that there are 8,526 people in compulsory home quarantine, while the number of those recovered is 3,606.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 664. The results show that 31% of those infected, 60% of the deceased, and 43% of those recovered live in Budapest. There are currently 63 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, six of whom are on ventilators.
The authorities highlight that it is still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport within Hungary.
