Police to Enforce Epidemic Safety Rules on Buses

Police are checking compliance with public health regulations, such as the obligation to wear a mask, at larger bus stations next week, as more and more people have recently traveled without a mask.

The Hungarian national public transport bus company Volánbusz Co. Ltd. has told the national news agency MTI that covering the mouth and nose on public transport is mandatory to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic. The company also informs travelers about this on its website, on social media, and at stations and buses.

Volánbusz says it continuously disinfects its buses and facilities and also provides its employees with the necessary protection and disinfection equipment.

In addition, the company installed 700 non-contact hand sanitizer dispensers at its stations nationwide for the hygienic safety of passengers and staff, and expanded its toolbox to protect against the spread of infection with ozone disinfection in addition to increased cleaning of bus stations and vehicles.
