At the invitation of Anita Herczegh, the wife of Hungarian President János Áder, the spouses of diplomats stationed in Hungary visited this week the Sándor Palace, the official residence of the President of Hungary and the seat of the Office of the President.

The First Lady organises recreational and cultural programs for the wives and husbands of mission leaders twice a year, the president’s office said in a statement.

Early in the summer Herczegh and her guests visited Herend, the site of a porcelain manufactory in western Hungary, and Tihany by Lake Balaton. Last year, a visit to Parliament was organised.

This time, the meeting took place at the Sándor Palace. The guests included 32 diplomat spouses including three husbands from the embassies of the US, Mexico and Lithuania.
