By Thursday, the new coronavirus infection had been detected in another 950 Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 41,732. 29 elderly chronic patients died, bringing the official number of deaths to 1,052.
According to the relevant government website, 12,628 people in Hungary have already recovered from the disease. The number of active infected people is 28,052. 1,555 coronavirus patients are cared for in hospital, 167 of them are on ventilators.
According to the government, the second wave of the epidemic is taking place in Hungary. The government says it aims to keep the country functioning and not let the virus paralyze everyday life. Therefore, compliance with the general rules is still requested.
