New Daily Record of COVID-19 Fatalities in Hungary

Covid-19 complications caused by the coronavirus have killed 65 patients in the past day in Hungary, bringing the death toll to a total of 1,699 in the country.

This is the highest number, so far, of daily fatalities that can be tied to the new coronavirus infection in Hungary.

In the past 24 hours, another 3,286 Hungarians were diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection, raising the total of infected people in Hungary to 71,413 since the beginning of the epidemic. 17,953 people have been declared recovered since the start of the epidemic after an increase of 484, while the number of active infections increased by 2,737 to 51,761.

3,753 coronavirus patients are cared in hospital , 556 more than the previous day. 267 of them are on a ventilator, up by 12 compared to Wednesday.

The number of laboratory tests performed rose by 15,638, producing a positivity rate of 21%, while the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 5%. A total of 1,048,580 tests have been performed so far.

There are 26,396 people in official home quarantine, according to the latest report, an increase of 811 in one day.
