Higher-than-ever daily number of COVID-19 related fatalities in Hungary: 84 people died of new coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, bringing the official total number of such deaths to 1,973.
The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 86,769. There are 30,984 people in compulsory home quarantine, while the number of recovered is 20,856.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country is 63,940. The relevant government website fins it important to point out that 25% of those infected, 32% of the deceased and 28% of those recovered live in Budapest. There are currently 4,767 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 348 of whom are on ventilators.
