Sharp Rise in New Coronavirus Cases in Hungary

The new coronavirus infection was detected in another 6,495 Hungarians, which increased the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 147,456, according to the relevant government website.

Another 93 patients died in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 3,190, while 34,010 people have already recovered.

The number of active infections is 110,256. 7,236 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 582 of whom are on ventilators.

Less than a week ago, at midnight on Tuesday, epidemiological restrictions came into force, according to which people are allowed to leave their home between 8 pm and 5 am only for certain reasons. The shops close at seven in the evening, the restaurants can only deliver to people's homes, but the factory canteens can be open.
