Further Increase in the Daily Number of COVID-19 Deaths

In the past 24 hours, 189 people died in Hungary due to the new coronavirus infection - most of them elderly, chronic patients, however, six victims were younger than 50, bringing the number of deaths to 5,513.

Another 6,212 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 238,056, according to the government website koronavirus.gov.hu.

The number of people recovered has increased by 1,500 since yesterday, and is currently at 68,525, while the number of active infected people has increased by roughly 450,000 to 164,018.
