Vaccination continues in nursing homes of more than 100 residents, peoplee living there receive the American Moderna vaccine.

According to the Hungarian news agency MTI, since Saturday, the vaccination campaign has been running in Hungary with two types of vaccines: the American Moderna works on the same principle as the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine first approved in Europe, but the one by Moderna is easier to transport and store, so it is more often taken to rural nursing homes.

This time, about 3,400 people will receive the Moderna vaccine at more than thirty sites in nineteen institutions, based on preliminary applications. Residents and workers have already received the vaccine in institutions with more than 150 residents last week, and mobile vaccination teams continue to work in homes serving nursing homes of at least a hundred people this weekend.
