By Monday, the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) had been detected in another 875 Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 352,703.
68 Hungarians died in the past 24 hours, mostly elderly, chronic patients, so the official number of deaths rose to 11,409.
The number of recovered people is also constantly increasing, currently stading at 230,441, while the number of active infected people has decreased to 110,853 people.
4,445 coronavirus patients are trated in hospital, 330 of whom are on ventilators, according to the government website koronavirus.gov.hu.
To date, 123,188 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, mostly health workers, but ten thousand people living and working in nursing homes have also been vaccinated.
