Hungarian soldiers die in Afghanistan accident

Two Hungarian soldiers died and four were injured when a vehicle belonging to the convoy of the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) of the Hungarian Army in Afghanistan turned over in a traffic accident at 10.15 CET Tuesday.

The PRT was carrying out logistics and transportion duties in Baghlan province when, some 15 kilometers from Mazar-e Sharif, an M-RAP MaxxPro armored vehicle, equipped with special anti-mine protection, turned over while taking over another vehicle.
Altogether, there were six people traveling in the vehicle. One sodier died on the spot and another passed away while being transported to a military hospital. One person suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, and another one serious but not life-threatening injuries. Further two sodiers were lightly injured.
