The free movement of persons is a cornerstone of the European Union's principles and is beneficial for the British economy, as well, the four Visegrad countries (V4) of East Central Europe said in a joint statement on Friday.
The V4 grouping of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia trust that any steps London may be considering in this area will be in line with EU law, the joint statement by V4 foreign ministers said in response to UK Prime Minister David Cameron's recent call for tightening EU rules on the free movement of labour.
