Steep Rise in New Coronavirus Numbers in Hungary

An outstanding number, 6,278 new infections have been registered in the last 24 hours (the last time this figure was so high was in December), bringing the number of identified infections in this country to 446,178. 152 patients died, increasing the official number of deaths to 15,476.

The number of recovered people is currently 328,136, but that of active infected people has also risen to 102,566. 6,554 coronavirus patients are cared for in hospital, 639 of whom are on ventilators. The number of samples is also significant, 30,749 tests were performed, according to data from the past 24 hours published on the government website koronavírus.gov.hu.
