207 Hungarians passed away in the past 24 hours due to the new coronavirus epidemic. The majority of the deceased were elderly, chronic patients. This is a sad record as it was for the first time that the daily number went over two hundred. A day earlier, 195 deaths were reported.
It means that the death toll rose to 17,628. 10,386 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 1,170 of whom are on ventilators.
The number of identified infected people has increased to a total of 539,080 since the outbreak began. The number of active infections rose to 160,557.
The situation is not encouraging, the hereditary material of the virus is rising or stagnating at a high level in the sewage water for the time being, and the coronavirus concentration measured in the sewage water has even exceeded the average amount measured in the second wave.
