11,132 new infections and 227 fatalities in the past 24 hours - these are highest figures in both categories in Hungary since the start of the new coronavirus epidemic.
It means that the official number of identified infected people increased to 560,971. The majority of the 227 deaths were elderly, chronic patients and the number of fatalities related to the new coronavirus and the number of deaths rose to 18,068.
The number of people cured is constantly increasing, too, currently standing at 366,774 while the number of active infected people has already risen to 176,129.
10,583 patients with coronavirus are being cared for in hospital, 1,237 of them are on a ventilator, according to the latest Saturday morning information from koronavirus.gov.hu.
